Path to Net Zero

As part of our commitment to becoming a net zero energy business by 2040, we have developed and integrated a multifaceted approach with a range of decarbonization pathways into our overall business strategy that creates shared value for our stakeholders, mitigates climate-related risks, and contributes to the overall decarbonization of the economy. Additionally, to remain on track for meeting our net zero goal, we have set an ambitious interim goal of reducing our GHG emissions by 50% by 2025 from a 2019 baseline.

We have identified the following levers we are pursuing to achieve our interim 2025 goal and ultimately reach our net zero target:

Enhance energy-efficient equipment across our pipeline stations by adopting modern technologies, optimizing operational processes, and improving system performance. We continuously explore ways to reduce energy consumption, minimize waste, and increase the overall efficiency of our infrastructure to support more sustainable and responsible operations.

Reduce emissions through improved operational efficiency, targeted process equipment changes, and the gradual integration of lower-carbon energy solutions. Our approach focuses on identifying practical opportunities to reduce the carbon intensity of our operations while maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

Evaluate and implement technological solutions that can reduce emissions associated with our products and services, while improving overall operational efficiency. We also seek opportunities to expand lower-carbon product offerings and develop alternative energy services that can support customers as energy markets continue to evolve.

Where residual emissions cannot be eliminated through operational improvements alone, we seek responsible approaches to address them through credible carbon reduction initiatives. Our sustainability strategy can include supporting verified projects that contribute to emissions reduction while maintaining transparency and focusing on meaningful environmental outcomes.

Environmental Stewardship

Environmental stewardship is a critical element of Amsterdam Tank Transport B.V.’s mission and values. As such, our commitment is reflected in our daily operations, as we strive to minimize our environmental impact through continuous improvement in environmental management and targeted updates to our programs.
As a reflection of our commitment and to ensure that we continue to make progress, in 2022, we established a GHG reduction goal backed by a comprehensive program to monitor and improve our efforts over time. We have been tracking our scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2019, and we have leveraged this data to inform our GHG reduction strategy, and to identify and implement best practices in technology, training, and design, to reduce GHG emissions across our operations.

Operational Safety

Our operational safety is guided by ten elements within our Safety and Operations Management System (SOMS), which form an important part of our overall ‘Plan-Do-Check-Act’ cycle. This structured management system provides a consistent framework for identifying and reducing operational risks, maintaining safe and reliable working conditions, and strengthening accountability across our activities. Through regular monitoring, performance evaluation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement, we work to ensure that safety remains integrated into everyday decision-making and operational practices.

ATT Alternative Energy

We are focused on diversifying our business into an integrated energy infrastructure and logistics platform to support the energy needs of the future. Amsterdam Tank B.V. Alternative Energy, a segment of Amsterdam’s Partners focuses specifically on the development, construction, and operation of energy transition projects and new energy transition-related opportunities.
